Ron Peterson awarded Life Membership
At the Club’s recent AGM Club stalwart Ron Peterson was presented with Life Membership by Club President Neal Swancott.
Ron was recruited to join the club by Bruce Clarke and joined as a full member on the 1st January 1970 to assist with numbers in setting up the club. It was only after retirement around the year 2000 under Jack Marshall’s coaching that Ron commenced bowling.
This makes Ron the Club’s longest serving member still actively participating with the Club.
Ron has been Club Treasurer for the past 13 years, keeping and recording the Clubs Books, regularly clearing the gaming machines and doing the Club’s banking and supplier payments.
Ron continues as an active bowling member and Club supporter and we hope this continues for many more years to come.
