Special General Meeting at the Bowling Club Wednesday 19 May, 2.45pm
MOST OF YOU WILL HAVE HEARD OF THE PROPOSED COMBINING OF THE MEN’S BOWLS NSW WITH WOMEN’S BOWLS NSW. THIS BODY WILL INITIALLY BE AT THE STATE LEVEL ONLY AND WILL BE CALLED BOWLS NSW.
FORMING OF THIS NEW COMBINED BODY WILL NOT AFFECT HOW EXISTING ZONES, DISTRICTS OR CLUBS ARE CURRENTLY RUN. THIS MAY CHANGE IN THE FUTURE AS ZONE AND DISTRICT BOUNDARIES ARE CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW.
HOWEVER, SUCH A PROPOSITION AS PER THE CONSTITUTION OF BOWLS NSW MUST HAVE THE APPROVAL OF ZONES AND HENCE BOWLS CLUB MEMBERS VIA ALL CLUBS CALLING A SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING TO VOTE WHETHER TO APPROVE OR DISAPPROVE FOLLOWING RESOLUTIONS:
Special Resolution
a) THAT the constitution of the Royal New South Wales Bowling Association Limited be amended and replaced with the new Constitution as available on the web site and marked with the letter “A”.
Ordinary Resolution If the special resolution is approved:
a) THAT the Boards of RNSWBA and New Bowls Entity be authorised to take all necessary steps to effect the above resolution.Note: The passing of above resolutions is conditional upon the reciprocal approval of the WBNSW resolutions.
